I bought another cookbook in our staff bookshop at work today.

I haven’t had time to try out any of the recipes, but I definitely like it already. It has a good mixture of describing techniques (how to chargrill a pepper, freeze in syrup, prepare a crab, or make a béarnaise sauce, for instance) and providing actual recipes (baked orange custard, Thai green shellfish curry, Greek lamb and feta layer, panettone pudding, gingerbread house, nougat ice cream, and so on), enhanced with useful photos.

I’m probably not the kind of person that needs this the most, given that I’ve got hundreds of cookbooks already, but if I had restrict myself to one, this would be a strong candidate, I think.
