Iggle-Piggle’s universal appeal
When we visited my sister and her family this weekend, I was surprised to see how much my niece Ursula loved In the Night Garden.
As can be seen on the photo, she was ecstatically waving her arms and legs, and that was watching an episode that she has seen dozens of times already.
Even more surprisingly, she was watching it in English, but that didn’t seem to have any effect on her enjoyment at all.
Why is it that Iggle-Piggle and his friends appeal so strongly to the babies of the world?
