Projection alarm clock

I got a wonderful projection alarm clock for Christmas.

I first saw such a clock when we visited Christel in their summer house last summer, and it’s really wonderful.

Basically, it’s an clock that projects the time onto the ceiling or the wall so that it’s visible in the dark. Now, that sounds pretty intrusive and annoying, but it isn’t. It’s not glowing, so it feels more like having a clock on the wall that just happens to be readable in the dark.

The alarm clock is also radio controlled, which I thought was pretty normal, but which seemed to take Phyllis by surprise. Is it rarer in the UK than on the continent?
