Reassuring property article

There was a reassuring article in The Herald this morning:

When it comes to property, it seems Scots still prefer the mature sandstone look over more contemporary homes.

The trend has been identified by a west of Scotland firm of estate agents, which says traditional sandstone houses and flats are fuelling strong demand in the Scottish housing market. Modern, two-bedroom luxury flats are moving, but not as quickly, it says.

According to John Kelly, the founding partner of estate agent Corum, traditional stone houses with gardens and traditional sandstone flats were most in demand in the west of Scotland.

Given that my flat is built entirely of sandstone and is located in the west of Scotland, I found this very reassuring. 🙂
