The knives are out

There are some deliciously evil articles about Gordon Brown in the English newspapers today, including:

• This one in The Independent: “… Tom Bower’s book (if every voter read it, Gordon Brown would be lucky to win election as a dog-catcher in Kirkcaldy).”
• This one in The Times: “… tens if not hundreds of thousands are likely to have imposed on them an old age of poverty.”
• This one in The Telegraph: “For all his intellectual pretensions, Mr Brown is a flim-flam man – and the voters now know that.”

Given how little sympathy I have for Gordon Brown, I’ve been reading this with great glee. I just hope it’s not too late to prevent the disaster that a Brown government would be.
