Oh no, pancakes again!
Yesterday, I got a strong urge to have American pancakes for breakfast. However, I didn’t check the recipe carefully, so I ended up making enough batter for two people. So this morning I had to have pancakes again. Oddly enough, they seemed to take longer to bake today, and then actually tasted nicer – perhaps because the eggwhites had collapsed a bit.
Now that looks delicious! Think I’ll have to invite myself round for breakfast 😉 Certainly beats the toasted stale baguette I had with jam this morning 🙁
I’d love cooking breakfast for you! Fresh baguettes are delicious, but they really are horrible when they dry out. 🙁 It’s a shame one cannot get Danish morgenbrød in this country (although Simon said one can get something similar in Farmfoods).
What about just making the wienerbrød yourself? It’s not that difficult, I guess ;_) When I have done it, I’ll give you an recipe, that works.
Tha pancakes almost look likes my Hungarians, don’t they?
BTW have to cut some graas, so see you ,.-)
I think if I start a comment thread in English, you 2 should be banned from continuing it in Danish! 😉
We didn’t discuss any improper – unless you consider tebirkes improper! 😉
Ok Phyl, we were just discussing the finer art of danish pastry and danish bread used to be served at breakfast. And you are more than welcome joining us in eating the final result of our workings. But what about you just learn to read Danish, then you are perfectly alloowed to continue write in English 😉 And go comment on my blog in English too, thats ok ;-9
ok. I’m managing to follow most of it but couldn’t write anything in it myself.
I am very surprised how well you understand Danish! You must have learnt more Swedish than you like to admit. 🙂
Eugh.
