Another war to be won by porn

Several online media (e.g., The Guardian Technology Blog) are reporting that the porn industry has now firmly decided on HD DVD instead Blu-ray as the successor to the DVD format. (Sony might have brought this onto themselves by not allowing porn on Blu-ray, but this seems to be just a rumour.)

There is plenty of evidence that adoption of new technology is largely driven by porn (photography, video, the Internet etc.), so this makes it very likely HD DVD will eventually win over Blu-ray, even for non-pornographic purposes.
